CONDITIONS AND TERMS OF SERVICE FOR MOBILE APPLICATION

Please read carefully before using this service

Welcome to the Kenya Bankers Mobile Application!

The Kenya Bankers Mobile App hereafter referred to as “Service”- will enable you to make financial transactions, apply for loans, access mobile wallets, perform internal, inward and outward money transfers, pay utility bills and make merchants payments through The Kenya Bankers and third-party partners. The Service is operated by the Kenya Bankers hereafter referred to as “we” or “us” in conjunction with third-party vendors subject to these Terms of Service hereafter referred to as “Terms” and the Privacy Policy.

TERMS OF SERVICE

The Kenya Bankers will at its sole discretion provide digital banking services to you entirely at your own risk. You indemnify us against all loss, claim and or damage, however caused, resulting from your use of this service

The Kenya Bankers will provide to you a one-time (OTP) PIN/ to access the service.

  1. You must change the PIN/ Password to new PIN/Password known only to you
  2. The Kenya Bankers shall have no liability/responsibility on the security and secrecy of your PIN/ Password.
  3. You must not reveal your User ID or PIN/ Password to anybody
  4. You must take care to prevent fraudulent access and /or use of your ID, PIN or Passwords
  5. In case of loss or suspect compromise of your unique ID, PIN, or Password, you must change it immediately and report to us using official contacts provided herein within 24hours.

The service provides access to third-party services such as but not restricted to M-Pesa, Pesalink, utility service providers, SMS gateways and others as need may arise.

  1. You are responsible for all transactions performed using your User ID and PIN/ Passwords
  2. We reserve the right to increase and vary the number of different transaction types availed to you or discontinue certain transaction types
  3. You can access only accounts you are authorized to.
  4. You authorize us to charge transaction fees and interest as per the tariffs current and future revised for any applicable transactions carried out using your user ID and Pin/ Password
  5. You must ensure you have sufficient balance in your account to perform any financial transactions

Our service is offered to you in conjunction with 3rd party service providers

  1. You agree that your subscription to the 3rd party service providers is entirely your choice and responsibility, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your subscription
  2. You agree that we are not liable whatsoever for the devices – hardware & software that you use to access the service
  3. Any charges related to 3rd party vendors in relation to your use of the service will be your responsibility to settle

The transaction you perform on the service will reflect on your respective statement of account. Changes to your mobile device will affect the continuity of the service as a security measure and your confirmation will be required to proceed on an alternate device

CONDITIONS 

These Terms constitute a contract. You may not use the Service if you do not accept these Terms. You shall be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (which may be amended by the Sacco from time to time) by selecting the “Accept” button. If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, you may not use the Service.

You must accept our privacy policy to proceed with the service. To provide you with the Service, you must authorize the provision of certain personal information to us as described in our privacy policy. The privacy policy governing the Service is referenced and incorporated into these Terms (“Privacy Policy”) and are available on our website as per the contacts herein.

 By accepting these Terms and using the Service, you consent to and authorize the collection and use of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

You must keep your account secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur through the use of your account or password. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security

You may discontinue the Service at your discretion. We may in our sole discretion and at any time terminate your access to the Service or discontinue providing the Service or any part of the Service, with or without notice. You agree that we will not be responsible or liable to you or any third party for modifying or discontinuing the Service, or for terminating or suspending your access to the Service
